Nana Kwame Bediako also known as Cheddar and now called Freedom Jacob Caesar (FJC) is also the CEO of both Wonda World Estates and Petronia City Development, a 2,000-acre master-planned city development in Ghana. He is one of the successful developers in the Ghanaian real estate sector.

The real estate developer who self-graduated from chief executive officer to industrialist shared his success story at the 5th Ghana CEO Summit.

According to Nana Kwame Bediako, he had the vision to be a builder and commenced from a very small scale where he built two houses on one plot.

He then developed a principle called maximization. Explaining what it means, he said he is not a real estate developer but he maximizes the use of land and spaces.

Building two houses on one plot through the principle of ‘maximization’, Cheddar revealed it opened his mindset for business and for nations.

He went to stay with his mother in her poverty and started selling metal scraps from which he made his money and started this whole development project we see today.

Freedom Jacob Caesar said he did everything possible to turn his mother’s poverty (curse) into a gift and that resulted in the birth of Kwarleyz Residence.

After honoring his mother with Kwarleyz Residence, Freedom Jacob Caesar (FJC) turned his attention to building his continent, Africa, where he started from a small part of his community.

The philanthropist and industrialist disclosed that building a house just to be on his lips that he is wealthy is not his dream, but he has the vision to develop cities.

“My dream is not to be extremely successful or find all these riches from development, my dream is to develop nations and to impact societies”, Nana Kwame Bediako stated.

Bediako got his education at Accra Academy, Apam secondary school, and moved to London to attend Waltham Forest College. It was at this point that he started putting his entrepreneurial skills to better use.

While he was in university, Bediako started making money by selling clothes that he got from a friend. Within no time, everyone at school bought clothes from him. He used this money wisely and managed to buy his first car at 16. It was through this car that he got his next idea.

His car was clamped several times, and by the third time, Bediako was frustrated. He took the clamp with him, and a friend offered to buy it. He got the idea to sell scrap metal.
