Jackie Appiah’s love life has sparked controversies in the past. With some linking her to rich men in Ghana and even outside Ghana. One thing to know is, Jackie keeps her personal life private. She only gives what she wants the public to see of her.

This doesn’t mean Jackie Appiah hasn’t experienced marriage life before. The ‘Things We Do For Love‘ star was married to a businessman named Peter Agyemang when she was just 22 years old. Yen Ghana reports that Jackie and Peter got married in 2005, however, the marriage could not hold after some years and had to be dissolved for reasons. Jackie Appiah’s marriage to Peter Agyemang only lasted for three years as they filed for divorce and since then, her erstwhile husband has not been seen or heard in the media.

Recently, a throwback photo of Jackie with her former husband Peter Agyemang resurfaced online. The photo shows Jackie and her ex-husband being joined together at what seems to be their traditional wedding in 2005. From the photo which has been sighted on Instagram page @sweet_maame_adwoa, Jackie Appiah’s ex-husband looks fashionable as he is spotted wearing a white earring.

Dressed in an all-white suit and obviously a trouser to look like an angel for their marriage, Peter Agyemang really turned his swag on for the ceremony.

Jackie Appiah, on the other hand, wore a dress attire made with kente cloth. She was captured looking away while her husband looked at her as if she was shy of him. The look on Peter Agyemang’s face showed that he was indeed happy about their marriage and was admiring his wife.

Although the marriage between Jackie Apppiah and Peter Agymenag might not have lasted as long as they might have anticipated but it produced a lovely boy called Damien Peter Agyemang who was born in 2005. Damien happens to be the only child of Jackie.

Jackie Appiah has starred in countless movies both locally and internationally.

Jackie Appiah’s love for acting isn’t just today’s thing, in fact, she started pursuing that dream when she was around 12 to 15 years. IMDb reports that at 12 years, Jackie who was schooling at Faith Montessori in Accra before moving to Achimota Preparatory School participated in several school plays.

While in Achimota she was voted as the Girls’ Entertainment Prefect, which augmented her passion for the arts. During that period, she auditioned as an actor on the Hal Jackson Talent Teens Show for a chance to travel to perform at the famous Apollo Theatre. The 17-year-old was brokenhearted when she emerged as the first runner-up in the talent show but that didn’t discourage her from pursuing her dreams as an actor.

At 18 years (in 2001), Jackie Appiah received her breakthrough when she was invited by Edward Seddoh Junior, the writer of a new television series, ‘Things We Do for Love’ as a cast member. She had a regular role as the adorable and innocent, Enyonam Blagogee and warmed her way into the hearts of viewers across Ghana. The series which was aimed at sexual reproductive health education also earned Jackie her first TV Commercial when she starred in the Ghana Social Marketing Foundation (GSMF) commercial on protection against HIV/AIDS. ‘Things We Do for Love’ ran on TV for three years and Jackie combined her role with her School education in General Arts at Harvard College in Accra.

In 2004 she received her first movie role, a lead role in ‘Divine Love’, directed by Jayke Aernan and starring Majid Michel and Van Vicker. In 2007, her acting went beyond the shores of Ghana when she received her first role in Nigeria in ‘Sleep Walker’ starring Genevieve Nnaji and Ramsey Noah.

In 2012 Jackie also reached another milestone in her career when she received a leading role in ‘Turning Point’ a Hollywood/Nollywood drama film written and directed by Niyi Towolawi, starring Jackie Appiah, K.D. Aubert, Todd Bridges, Ernie Hudson, Patience Ozokwor, and others.
