2Pac’s father Billy Garland says the government is to blame for his son’s death while his bodyguard admits the rapper was shot after stomping a Crip at the MGM Grand in Vegas following a Tyson fight.

Tupac Shakur, also known as 2Pac, was one of the most influential and iconic figures in the history of hip-hop music. Born on June 16, 1971, in East Harlem, New York, Tupac grew up in a turbulent environment and was exposed to poverty, crime, and violence from a young age. Despite these challenges, he developed a passion for music and began writing and performing rap songs as a teenager.

Tupac’s (2pac) music was characterized by his honest and provocative lyrics, which often dealt with issues like poverty, racism, police brutality, and social injustice. He was unafraid to speak his mind and was known for his aggressive delivery and powerful stage presence. His music struck a chord with audiences around the world and earned him legions of devoted fans.

Tupac was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in April 2017. In 2015, the Grammy Museum unveiled an “All Eyez on Me” exhibit and recently, in 2022, The Canvas @ L.A. Live hosted a “Wake Me When I’m Free” immersive experience, honoring the late rapper, poet, actor, and activist.

Tupac Shakur was honored with the Hollywood Walk of Fame Star 27 years after his death on June 7, 2023. The ceremony was hosted by radio personality Big Boy and featured speeches from Dear Mama director Allen Hughes and Tupac’s sister Sekyiwa.

Despite 2pac being well-known to have died from injuries as a result of being shot 4 times, his father Billy Garland thinks otherwise. The late rapper’s bodyguard had given an insight of what he thinks cause the death of Tupac. So, read on for more about what these close people to the late rapper says about his passing.

2Pac’s father says the government is to blame for his son’s death.

2Pac’s father, Billy Garland, says that his son’s death was “set up” by the U.S government. He reflected on the legendary rapper’s passing during a new interview with The Art of Dialogue. The conversation began with Garland discussing Pac’s fight with Orlando Anderson in Las Vegas on the night of his death.

“He never should have did that,” Garland said. “‘Pac just got hyper and he thought he had to lead. If you notice in the video, everybody was following him around. He’s the money-maker. Death Row was the $100 million thing, but everybody’s following 2Pac. Think about that logic. Everything he did, everybody attached themselves to him, and he felt obligated to prove that ‘I’m gonna be your leader.’ And he struck [Orlando] first, only because someone had told him that this is the guy who stole the Death Row medallion.”

“Now, the way he did it was off-limits. Cameras every-fucking-where, c’mon, but that’s the irrational shit you do. And you know that broke my heart, but a lot of little shit that he did. But look at all the good shit that he did. Now look what he did, look what he’s done. I don’t think it’ll be done again.”

Garland did note that he is aware of Anderson’s uncle, Duane “Keefe D” Davis, confessing that he was present when his nephew allegedly fired the fatal shots at his son. However, Garland says there’s more to the story. He went on to explain that the “key question” is the role the government played in the incident.

“Well, I think the key question there is the government,” Garland said. “The government gave him the deal. [2Pac] was being tailed by the government the night of his assassination. He was being tailed by the government while in the studio — that’s a known fact. So I don’t know this guy Keefe, I don’t know. Maybe he had to say that to get out of some issue, I don’t know. I just know it looked like a setup to me. Somebody told this guy to stand there with the Death Row thing and it pursued to what we had, but I don’t think [Orlando Anderson] had anything to do with the death of my son…not at all.”

Tupac was killed by a South Side Crip, former death Row Bodyguard says

Blood Piru OG Mob James was a bodyguard for 2Pac and Suge Knight in the heyday of Death Row Records. In a recent interview, he said the legendary emcee likely died at the hands of the South Side Crips. That same night, he had initiated the beating of a Crip gangbanger at the MGM Grand in Vegas after a Mike Tyson boxing match.

“If Tupac would have stand to the side and watched, and if Suge would have said, “No you my money, you ain’t finna get in no fight, get over there,’ Tupac would be still alive right now in the day. And this is the only reason why he died, he interfered in something he had no power in,” Mob James said.

Two hours after the brawl, Tupac was shot while riding with Suge to Club 662. He died six days later. James said the man Tupac stomped, Orlando Anderson, likely retaliated and killed the rapper. The Pirus aimed to avenge him but couldn’t track the gangster’s whereabouts. Anderson died in an unrelated shooting in 1998.

The OG said that Shakur’s attitude changed when he started associating with the Pirus. He started “spitting” and “bumping into people.” In the end, Mob James expressed regret that he ever associated with Suge, who he claims barely paid the gangbangers who protected him.

Tears ran down his cheeks as he explained that his connection with the Death Row CEO led to his brother’s death in 2002. He was glad to get the story off his chest though.

“That’s why I’m here. That’s the only thing that matter to me; exposing the devil,” he said.
