Chrissy Teigen and her husband John Legend are parents to four children. But, what is known about her family; her mother, father, and half-sister Tina?
Chrissy Teigen (pronounced tai-gen, not tee-gen) has gone from model to bonafide Twitter superstar and cookbook author extraordinaire since her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition debut in 2010.
Along the way, Chrissy has also shown off her comedic side as the host of Lip Sync Battle, launched a clothing line with Revolve, and authored two cookbooks — all while juggling her four kids, Luna, Miles, Esti, and Alexander. Plus, she will serve as a judge on the upcoming series Bring the Funny on NBC.

Who are Chrissy Teigen’s parents?
Chrissy is really close to her parents, Ron and Vilailuck Teigen, who call her by her nickname Pepper Thai. In fact, her mom actually lives with the couple to help out with the kids.
“It’s so helpful to have her live with us. She’s the most incredible grandma. Luna is so close with her,” Chrissy explained. “‘Yāy’ means grandmother in Thai, so she goes “‘Yāy!” all day long, and it’s just fun because my mom is a kid at heart. She just has so much energy, and I just lug myself at this point.”

Does Chrissy Teigen have siblings?
Chrissy is not an only child. She has a half-sister named Tina, who has also made a few cameos on her social media accounts. For one time, she attempted to make rice while under the influence of marijuana, which prompted the one and only Cher to tweet Chrissy, “I wanna be friends with your sister.”
In February 2019, Chrissy revealed that she was bringing her mom and sister to compete on her Celebrity Family Feud team. “Breaking: John and I are taping Family Feud against the cast of F–KING @PUMPRULES,” she wrote. “I can’t say if we won or lost Family Feud but we definitely brought a flask, I definitely chipped a tooth and there was definitely a record set,” she continued.
As promised, Chrissy made an appearance on Celebrity Family Feud in June 2019 alongside her mom, Tina, John, and John’s older brother, Ron Stephens. And let’s just say it was exactly as entertaining as you’d expect.

We first learned that Chrissy had a sister — Tina was born before Chrissy’s mom married her dad, Ron Teigen Sr. — when she was working on her cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More. “Hour 4 of my high sister making nam khao rice for the book,” she tweeted. “‘How long does this normally take?’ Tina: ‘Like 5 mins’.”
That was the moment when the entire world decided that Chrissy’s family just continued to outdo themselves, and Cher was everyone on the internet when she declared, “I wanna be friends with your sister.” Same, Cher!

Tina was married to motivational speaker Corey Speaks and has a daughter.
Based in Las Vegas, Tina is notoriously private about her life on social media. Chrissy, who is basically the queen of the internet, is a prolific Instagrammer, but she keeps her older Leo sister conspicuously absent.
Back in 2014, Chrissy and John attended Tina’s wedding to Corey Speaks, but the two have since divorced. The former couple has one child together, Pasha, and even though Tina doesn’t keep an Instagram presence, this feisty child certainly does! Tina and Corey co-parent their cute daughter and live just across the street from each other in Vegas. They seem to have managed to put their differences behind them and prioritize raising their daughter together — plus, the family still vacations together shares the same nanny, and even has family dinners together four nights a week.
Even though Tina prefers to let her famous sister take the spotlight, we have a feeling Teigen’s fans would love to see more of the lesser-known Teigen sister. Why is Chrissy Teigen famous? She started as a model.
While Chrissy was living in California with her family, a photographer was scouting new potential talent and took some photos of her while she was working her day job at a surf shop. After reviewing the photos, Chrissy decided to submit them to a modeling agency, which offered her a position with them.
From there, Chrissy went on to cover almost every popular magazine you can think of, starting with the cover of a Maxim calendar.
It’s your stereotypical, but usually too-good-to-be-true start, but it led her to the covers of Vogue, Glamour, and even Sports Illustrated‘s swimsuit issue, where she was labeled their “Rookie of the Year.”
Chrissy also had a deal as a substitute briefcase model in 2006 and 2007, before she started appearing on covers. This is also where she crossed passed with Meghan Markle while she was also a briefcase model.
She met John while shooting for one of his music videos.
Chrissy starred in John Legend’s music video for his song “Stereo,” and that’s reportedly how the two of them met. At the time, Chrissy was definitely more well-recognized than John was, but the two hit it off and dated for a few years before marrying in 2013.
Now, Chrissy is recognized frequently as one-half of the power couple, but even though she stopped modeling a while ago, she’s still got enough gigs under her belt to keep her in the A-list category.
Chrissy became a lifestyle guru once she published her cookbook.
After the birth of her first child, Luna, Chrissy started working on a cookbook, titled Cravings: Recipes for All the Foods You Want to Eat. The cookbook, which was released in 2016, launched her as a lifestyle guru, and she’s continued to share insights into her life and, of course, even more, food content.
Chrissy’s follow-up cookbook, Cravings: Hungry for More, was released in September 2018.
She’s also had a few stints as a television show host.
Even before her cookbook work, Chrissy has done a few hosting gigs, initially appearing as a judge on America’s Next Top Model in 2011, before her marriage to John. She’s also made appearances as a host on shows like The View, and had a few acting gigs. Some of her most-known work includes her gigs as Crystal in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation and in Between Two Ferns: The Movie.
