Former Iowa Hawkeyes star and NFL hopeful Cody Ince has died aged 23. The offensive lineman and Wisconsin native died “unexpectedly” on July 15.
According to just his obituary, Ince “passed away unexpectedly at his home near Grantsburg, Wisconsin.”

Who was Cody Ince married to?
Hailing from Balsam Lake, Wisconsin, Ince played football, basketball, and baseball at Unity High School.
On the gridiron, Ince earned first-team all-state honors on offense and honorable mention recognition on defense as a senior and signed with Iowa as a 3-star prospect in the class of 2018.
Athlon Sports named Ince preseason second-team All-Big Ten ahead of the 2021 season.
He played every game during his fourth and final season on campus, allowing just three pressures across 338 total snaps.
A legitimate NFL prospect, injuries slowed his career after the 2021 season and he retired from football a year early.
In his career, although he was still at the beginning, he was in a relationship.
Who was Cody Ince’s wife? Former Iowa Hawkeyes offensive lineman Cody Ince was not officially married but was in a serious relationship with his longtime girlfriend whose name is Olivia Tucker. The young couple were engaged and looking forward to becoming husband and wife.
According to the couple’s wedding page, he was supposed to marry Olivia, in May of 2024 in Wisconsin.
Aside from his fiancée, he is survived by his parents Tammy and Marty, and sister Carly.

The NFL player who once played for the Iowa Hawkeyes football team was not yet a father. Cody Ince never welcomed a child when he was alive.
However, all indications; getting engaged and about to be married, signified his readiness to give birth to kids with his fiancée, Tucker.

Ince was the defensive lineman for the Iowa Hawkeyes from 2018 to 2021. During his tenure, he appeared in 29 games, starting 10. Ince had hoped to make it to the NFL, but injuries forced him to end his football career earlier than planned.
While playing for Iowa, Ince was even commended by the Big 10. In the 2020 Individual Awards, Ince was listed as an Honorable Mention, high praise in the world of college football.
“I have had the honor of knowing and playing with Cody while I was at the University of Iowa,” Purdue receiver Tyrone Tracy Jr. wrote on Ince’s memorial page Tuesday morning. “He was not only a great teammate but an amazing person! Always smiling and cracking jokes but he took his job on the field personally and I loved that about him. He used to always bring in deer jerky or sunflower seeds and he made sure I got some every time.”
“It’s the little things that I will remember!” Tracy closed. “Thank you Cody for being such an amazing person and friend!”
Forever loyal to the University of Iowa, the family has asked that any donations go to the university’s Children’s Hospital in Cody’s name.
