The teen viral rapper and influencer, Lily Tay, and her brother Jason Tian who were reported to be dead are alive.

Yesterday, 9th August 2023, it was reported that the teen rapper whose real name is Claire Eileen Qi Hope was confirmed dead.

According to an initial statement by the family which was shared on the official Instagram handle of the teen rapper, Lily Tay died alongside her brother, Jason Tian.

The statement read;

“It is with a heavy heart that we share the devastating news of our beloved Claire’s sudden and tragic passing,” the post began.

“We have no words to express the unbearable loss and indescribable pain. This outcome was entirely unexpected, and has left us all in shock.”

The post went on to say that “her brother’s passing adds an even more unimaginable depth to our grief,” however, it did not name Tian directly.

“During this time of immense sorrow, we kindly ask for privacy as we grieve this overwhelming loss.”

“Claire will forever remain in our hearts, her absence leaving an irreplaceable void that will be felt by all who knew and loved her.”

In a new development provided by TMZ.com, the teen rapper, Lily Tay and her brother, Jason Tian, are very much alive.

According to the new statement spotted on TMZ.com, the family claimed that their Instagram account was hacked to peddle false information about their daughter and son. The family indicated that they have been traumatized for the past 24 hours because loved ones have been bombarding them with endless heartbreaking phone calls.

The new statement from Lily Tay’s family read;

“I want to make it clear that my brother and I are safe and alive, but I’m completely heartbroken, and struggling to even find the right words to say. It’s been a very traumatizing 24 hours. All day yesterday, I was bombarded with endless heartbreaking and tearful phone calls from loved ones all while trying to sort out this mess.”

She also says, “My Instagram account was compromised by a 3rd party and used to spread jarring misinformation and rumours regarding me, to the point that even my name was wrong. My legal name is Tay Tian, not “Claire Hope”

The family thanks Meta for helping them retrieve their Instagram account back. And the phoney death statement posted on the Instagram account was deleted.
