He is best known for playing Dr. Jackson Avery on the television drama Grey’s Anatomy from 2009 to 2022. Williams is also known for appearing in the films The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 (2008), Brooklyn’s Finest (2009) and The Cabin in the Woods (2012).

Sadie Williams is the first child of actor Jesse Williams and his ex-spouse Drae-Lee.
Celebrity kid, Sadie was born in December 2013.
Following Williams’ split from Drake-Lee in 2017, the couple have done their best to keep Sadie out of the spotlight amid their custody battle. While Williams doesn’t often speak about the little girl, he has shared a few cute insights into her life, including a hilarious gift she gave him for Father’s Day in 2017. The hand-drawn card included a drawing of Williams as well as a questionnaire that said he liked to “cook cereal” and was tall “like an elephant.”
“Knows her daddy too well and sketches him w chilling accuracy,” Williams jokingly captioned the photo.
As the little girl grows up, Drake-Lee has called Sadie an “old soul” who’s in touch with other people’s emotions. Drake-Lee referenced one specific instance where she said she was having a difficult day and the little girl offered her comfort.
“The other day, I was having a hard morning and I said something to her, and she got upset. I got down and I said to her, ‘Mommy’s having a really hard morning, I don’t know if you can feel it?’ She said, ‘Yeah, I can feel it.’ I said, ‘Okay, well, I’m really sorry. It’s going to be a little while, but I’ll feel a little better,’ and she pulled me in, and she said, ‘I’ll hold you while it hurts.’ She’s unbelievable this little girl,” Drake-Lee shared.
Now at age 8, Drake-Lee says she still has a special bond with Sadie, whom she calls an “eager curious adventurous helper and healer” who “embodies unconditional love.” Together, she says they are on a mission to “lead and heal in tandem by example.”
Maceo August Lion-Baldwin Williams, 8
Maceo August Lion-Baldwin Williams is the second child and son between actor Jesse Williams and his ex-spouse Drae-Lee.
Maceo was born on June 11, 2015, at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles.
While Williams and Drake-Lee haven’t shared much about their son.
Now at age 7, Maceo is focused on school in L.A. – but gets to visit Williams in N.Y.C. on occasion.
What happened between Jesse Williams and Aryn Drake-Lee?
At age 31, Jesse was married to Aryn Drake-Lee. The couple lived together for 5 years.
In 2017, the couple divorced.
After finalizing their divorce in late 2020 and coming to an agreement on custody terms (in which Jesse was ordered to pay $40,000 a month in child support), they seem to be attempting the co-parenting route to some success.
In April 2021, the pair were ordered to attend a “high-conflict parents program” as part of their agreement, which is meant to diminish the stress a separation can cause on children, according to Entertainment Tonight.
In May 2019, Aryn told People, “When the divorce process started I had two nursing babies, and I am the one that ran our household for the 14-and-a-half years that he and I were together in the same house.”
“As for our children, and for the creation of the businesses that we built together when I left my career in New York for us to move to California to pursue his, and then as a result built it … I knew, as the one that was really holding it all together, that I didn’t have a lot of room to fall, even though I was falling,” she continued.
It was the first time that Aryn opened up about her relationship with Jesse. There were rumors about Jesse cheating on Aryn with Minka Kelly (who he later dated for a brief period), and the two had a lengthy custody battle.
