YouTube streamer IShowSpeed accidentally flashed his viewers while playing Five Nights at Freddy’s live on his channel – did the platform ban him?

IshowSpeed – real name Darren Watkins Jr – is one of the famous internet personalities in the world at the moment. He has garnered millions of followers across all social media platforms he’s on.

The multifaceted streamer on August 16, 2023, did the unthinkable after he accidentall flashed his genitals while jubilating on live-stream.

Unless you were not online, especially on Twitter (now called X), you’d likely have seen “Ishowmeat” or “Ishowspeedflash” in your trends.

The video shows the streamer getting scared while playing Five Nights at Freddy’s.

He begins yelling at one of the characters, stands up, and at one point, ends up exposing himself — which appeared to be a genuine wardrobe malfunction — to an audience of 24,600 people.

The internet superstar quickly sat back down after realizing what happened.

Speed seemed to be horrified after his junk was shown on camera, repeatedly saying, “Oh my God” and abruptly ending the stream.

The video went viral and accumulated mixed reactions. Despite Speed being in such an embarrassing situation, one thing the majority of his fans were hoping it never happens was the Google-owned platform banning him. Will IShowSpeed be banned from YouTube? Read on for more.

What did YouTube say about IShowSpeed flashing his junk on live-stream?

Many fans speculated that Speed might get banned from the platform.

According to YouTube, content that includes “the depiction of clothed or unclothed genitals, breasts, or buttocks that are meant for sexual gratification,” is banned, including “the depiction of sexual acts, or fetishes that are meant for sexual gratification.”

According to TMZ, TMZ Sports has learned the popular gamer is NOT banned from posting on YouTube following the flashing incident.

TMZ reached out to YouTube on the matter, and were told Speed did, in fact, remove the upload from his page following the mishap. While the video did violate the platform’s policies against explicit content, we’re told Speed is good to continue to upload to YouTube moving forward.

What game was IShowSpeed playing on the day of the incident?

On the day of IShowSpeed’s incident, he was playing FNAF (real name: Five Nights at Freddy’s).

To the gaming community, FNAF is not a new addition to the number of video games many streamers and gamers play online. It was created by Scott Cawthon and the first video game of the same name was released on August 8, 2014, and the resultant series has since gained worldwide popularity.

Five Nights at Freddy’s is a video game series that is all about heart-pounding jump-scares. It’s rated 12+, so it’s not quite suitable for many preteen players. That said, the series forgoes the blood, gore, and violence typically associated with the horror genre in favor of innocent (if still pretty terrifying) shocks.

Another side of the popular game is that, it’s an unabashed horror game, dedicated to frightening its fans at every opportunity.

The horror aspect of it came out of fear, not only from the animatronics hunting you but from the helpless feeling you have since you couldn’t run away. There was implied violence in the first game, especially as people delved into the secrets the game was hiding, but nothing was shown on screen. A lot of things in FNAF are easily missable, and the series has deep lore beneath its scares.
