Michael Jackson’s sexually abused accuser, Wade Robson has made a sizable net worth over the years. His fortune explored.

On March 2019, a documentary titled “Leaving Neverland” caused a massive stir in the entertainment industry.

The two-part film, made by British filmmaker Dan Reed, contains interviews with two former childhood fans of Thriller singer Michael Jackson who claim they were abused by him when they were children in his enormous California mansion dubbed Neverland.

The two ex-friends and fans of the Thriller singer are Wade Robson and James Safechuck.

On August 2023, a developing report confirmed that the two Michael Jackson’s accusers will go to trial over abuse allegations. Their case tried against the late King of Pop’s companies in front of a jury in the lower courts.

Three appellate court judges (Justices Elizabeth Grimes, John Wiley and Victor Viramontes) of the California Court of Appeal have ruled in favor of the plaintiffs and against Jackson’s MJJ Productions and MJJ Ventures companies, two corporations for which Jackson was the sole owner and lone shareholder.

Robson garnered immense attention for his role in the Michael Jackson child sexual abuse trial, and for his subsequent civil lawsuit alleging that the late singer had molested him as a kid.

While awaiting his upcoming trial against the popstar’s company, many are curious to learn more about his career, and net worth. Here’s everything we know about him.

For his long years of working in the entertainment industry, Wade Robson has accumulated an estimated net worth of at least $1 million. He made his fortune for his works as an Australian dancer, choreographer, director, and composer.

Wade Robson has directed music videos and major world tours for artists including Britney Spears and NSYNC. He also hosted the MTV show “The Wade Robson Project” in 2003, and was a guest judge and choreographer on the Fox series “So You Think You Can Dance” in 2007.

He won two Emmy awards for Outstanding Choreography for his routines “Ramalama” and “The Hummingbird and the Flower.”

In 2007, Robson choreographed and performed a special performance for Dancing with the Stars.

As a child he performed with a group of dancers from Johnny Young’s Talent School. Wade’s specialty was imitating Michael Jackson. When he was five years old, Wade won a Michael Jackson dancing competition which ultimately led to him attending a concert and meeting the pop superstar. Wade and Michael stayed in touch.

Wade began teaching dance classes in Hollywood when he was just 11 years old. He began choreographing professionally when he was 14.

Robson and his wife established the Robson Family Fund under the Hawaii Community Foundation in 2019. As the fund’s website reads, “Wade Robson, a survivor of child sexual abuse, along with Amanda Robson, his wife, mother of their child and also a survivor of child abuse, wanted to create a powerful way to contribute towards the healing from and prevention of child abuse.”

The fund says it “focuses on grants to nonprofit organizations that support prevention efforts, and aims to identify and fill in gaps in areas of child abuse healing and prevention that are under-researched, under-developed or inactive.”

What happened between Wade Robson and Michael Jackson?

Robson was a child when he first met Jackson after being called up on stage at a concert in Brisbane, Australia in 1987. The 5-year-old boy was a fan and impressed the audience with his spot-on “Smooth Criminal” dance performance. Jackson invited him and his mom Joy up to his hotel room after the concert, and Jackson told them to get in touch if they ever returned to the States, Robson says in the documentary.

In January 1990, when Robson was 7, the family traveled to California for the first time and after reaching out to Jackson, they were invited to Neverland for the weekend. Robson stayed at the residence with the singer while the rest of his family left to tour the Grand Canyon. Robson claims that’s when the sexual contact began and continued for seven years. The suit further alleges that Jackson abused Robson by fondling his penis, engaging in oral sex and attempting anal rape in Jackson’s bedroom, the dance and recording studio, jacuzzi and hotels.

Jackson’s lawyer Steinsapir argued in virtual court that the company had no legal duty to protect Robson or anyone else from Jackson, because it could not control him. The main issue in this trial revolves around whether Jackson’s production companies had a “legal duty” to protect Robson and Safechuck from the sexual abuse they allegations against Jackson, especially in his own home. According to the suit, no staff members reported the alleged abuse to authorities.

In the documentary, Wade describe Jackson’s death from a propofol overdose in June 2009 as a crucial moment in his life. Robson said that he cried more than he did for his own father’s death. It wasn’t until after Robson’s son Koa was born in 2010, he added, that he confronted what allegedly happened to him.
