During his Spanish career he played as a defender and represented multiple teams such as Guadix CF, RCD Mallorca B, UE Lleida, Xerez CD, Levante UD and Alicante CF.
On August 2023, he was caught up in some controversy. He has come under fire after kissing Spanish football player Jenni Hermoso on the lips after they won the Women’s World Cup.

Who is Luis Rubiales’ wife?
Royal Spanish Football Federation President, Luis Manuel Rubiales Béjar, who stands at a height of 1.80 m (5 ft 11 in), is currently asssumed to be single. Meaning, he is not married and hence he has no wife and isn’t in any relationship and hence he has no girlfriend.
However, this doesn’t mean he has never found love.
Years back, Rubiales was married to a lawyer named Manuela Delicado Vega. Details about their relationship; how they met, where they held their wedding and others are not known.
The former couple separated years later and despite their split, they have remained on good terms and co-parents.
In Luis Rubiales’s interview with Risto Mejide, he elaborated on his failed marriage. “11 years ago we divorced, we have done the best we could,” he admitted. The relationship was already broken when the scandal that will pursue Rubiales to his last position previously before Jenni’s issue was reported: it was done by his uncle, who was also his chief of staff in the Royal Spanish Football Federation.

Following his split from Manuela, he entered into several relationships. Mujorhoy reports that one of his ex-girlfriends was Mexican painter Roberta Lobeira, famous for having made the paintings for the popular Netflix series La Casa de las Flores.
In the fall of 2018, Roberta Lobeira accepted a luxury trip to New York with Luis Rubiales, of which a ‘selfie’ published on social networks remained as a witness. Allegedly, the president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation invented a meeting with the UN and Major League Soccer to go on a romantic getaway. Different media published that several of the couple’s expenses were, once again, paid with money from the RFEF, with the ‘excuse’ of a business trip. A judge is already investigating this trip.
Another of his girlfriends, this one from when he was still running the Association of Spanish Soccer Players, got a highly-qualified secretary position, although his studies were in Economics. This is the model Brigit Tenorio, who first worked for the AFE union and later for the DDP advertising company, an official supplier to the RFEF. She remained there until 2020, with a large salary.
Does Luis Rubiales have any children?
Ex-footballer and soccer president Luis Rubiales is a father of three. He has three children – all daughters.
The names of his kids are Lucía, Ana and Elena.
He shares his children with his ex-wife, lawyer Manuela Delicado Vega.

“I have three daughters. The eldest studies Art History, a very sensitive aunt,” said the president of the RFEF. “The middle one is the one that looks the most like me, the most demanding, she is an aunt with a bestial intelligence, and the little one is my soccer player.”

Luis Rubiales kissed Jennifer Hermoso, a Spanish professional footballer who plays for Liga MX Femenil club CF Pachuca and for the Spain women’s team.
The kiss was on the lips after they won the Women’s World Cup.
Immediately video from the incident started to gain traction on social media, he came under fire.
He was also criticised for grabbing his crotch as he celebrated La Roja’s historic victory at the final whistle.
It has been reported that he also went into the dressing room after full-time, vowing to take the women’s team on a holiday to Ibiza and to marry Hermoso.
What has Luis Rubiales said?
Rubiales has been suspended by FIFA following the incident.
Fifa opened a disciplinary proceeding into the matter and a press conference was held where Rubiales said he would not resign – prompting mass walkouts of players and staff and plunging the World Cup-winning nation into crisis. As many as 11 members of women’s football staff in the Spanish football federation have also resigned from their posts.
Explaining his crotch grab, he said: “In a moment of euphoria I grabbed that part of my body.”
On the kiss, he said: “I was very moved when after winning the World Cup you turned around and dedicated it to me. There I made the gesture.
“I apologise to the Queen and the Infanta for a very unedifying gesture. I do not justify myself: sorry.
“The kiss was consented. We had very affectionate moments in this concentration.
“The moment Jenni appeared, she picked me up from the ground and we almost fell. And when she left me on the ground, we hugged. She took me up in her arms and we hugged.
“I told her ‘forget the [missed] penalty, you’ve been fantastic in this World Cup’ and she told me ‘you’re a crack’ and I told her, a little peck? and she said okay.”
In a powerful statement on Friday, Hermoso said: “I felt vulnerable and a victim of an assault, an impulsive, macho act, out of place and with no type of consent on my part.”
Luis Rubiales ‘sexual assault’ probe launched after fury over Spanish FA boss’s ‘unsolicited’ World Cup kiss with player
Spanish prosecutors have opened a criminal investigation to establish if FA boss Luis Rubiales may have sexually assaulted Women’s World Cup star Jenni Hermoso.
A preliminary probe was announced on Monday amid fury after the Spanish football chief, 46, kissed World Cup hero Hermoso, 33, during victory celebrations last week.
A statement from Spain’s highest court said: “Prosecutors from the National Court have opened a preliminary investigation to look into the facts, which could constitute an offence of sexual assault.”
They would also contact Hermoso to offer her a chance to file a suit within 15 days.
Prosecutors added they had also received a complaint of “obscene exhibitionism before a minor” after Rubiales appeared to grab his crotch in the stands next to Spain’s Princess Infanta Sofía.
The court’s announcement came as Spain’s deputy prime minister Yolanda Diaz slammed “systemic” sexism on Monday.
Rubiales has been suspended by FIFA and could face a similar sanction from UEFA.
However, the Spanish FA have threatened to leave UEFA if they were to intervene.
Leaving the governing body would see the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid removed from this season’s Champions League.
