Matt Riddle, known worldwide as a professional wrestler and a unique MMA artist, began training for professional wrestling in 2014. After working on independent circuits for four years, Riddle signed a contract with WWE and made his NXT debut in Oct. 2018.

He first made appearances on WWE television in late 2019 before joining the SmackDown brand in May 2020. However, Riddle was then drafted to Raw in October of that year.

Riddle won the United States Championship once and the Raw Tag Team Championship twice as part of the RK-Bro team with Randy Orton.

Yes, Matt Riddle is a father! He has three children, fraternal twin daughters, and a son, and will soon be a father of four.

The former mixed martial artist’s three kids’ names are Amy Riddle, Allison Riddle, and Zachary Riddle.

His twin girls were born in 2012 while his only son was born in 2014.

He shares his children with his ex-wife, Lisa Rennie, whom he married for over a decade.

How does Matt Riddle’s love life look like?

At age 25, Riddle tied the knot with Lisa Rennie, an Olympic powerlifter and a fitness professional, in 2011 and they embarked on a journey of love, passion, and family, bringing into the world three beautiful children.

Their nuptial comes only after knowing each other for a year.

Matt and Lisa were married for over a decade but their marriage was not meant to be everlasting as they separated after becoming parents.

Riddle and Rennie got divorced in March 2022 and at this time of writing, the reason for the separation is unknown to us.

However, their split came shortly after Candy Cartwright accused Riddle of sexual assault. Wrestler and EVOLVE social media ambassador Cartwright said in a series of tweets that WWE performer Matt Riddle sexually assaulted her in May 2018.

What is known about Matt Riddle’s family?

Riddle was born Matthew Riddle on January 14, 1986, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. 

Riddle’s parents’ names are currently unknown to the media.

Matt Riddle has never shared any information regarding his siblings hence we can’t state whether or not he’s the only child of his parents. There are no records about that.

As mentioned by fellow wrestler Seth Rollins, Riddle is estranged from his family.

When he was young, his family moved to Saratoga Springs, New York, where he attended Saratoga Springs High School and was a New York state wrestling champion in 2004. Riddle would face and beat future UFC champion Jon Jones twice in high school wrestling.

Riddle later attended East Stroudsburg University, where he was a member of its team for two years and won many championships. After his head coach was fired, Riddle lost his wrestling scholarship and began his transition into MMA.

Riddle is an experienced practitioner of Brazilian jiu-jitsu and was promoted to black belt in the sport by Daniel Gracie, Rolles Gracie, and David Floridia on January 28, 2022.
