Who is Felix Marzell, Melanie Joly’s husband?

Felix Marzell is famous for being the spouse of Canadian politician, Melanie Joly.

The politician’s spouse does a different job unlike her being in politics. Marzell is an entrepreneur and a violin maker.

He is the co-founder of Dix au carre – a Canadian research and development lab that specializes in creative design projects for the entertainment industry.

Apart from this information, there are no further details about him as he lives a private life. He also has no social media accounts.

Does Melanie Joly have any children?

While Melanie Joly has impressively had a successful career in politics and Canada’s legal justice system, her biggest challenge, however, has yet to come: being called a mother.

At the moment, Joly is not a mother, hence, she has no children.

In fact, she has had difficulties in giving birth; having faced a number of miscarriages for years. In 2021, she tragically spoke about losing her unborn baby.

However, per TheSun, her husband, Marzell, appears to be a father of one and has a daughter named Romy, who is just eight and was born in 2015.

Legally, Romy is Joly’s daughter but not her biological child.

Liberal Melanie Joly, who has not been shy to share her journey publicly, said in an interview with The Canadian Press she was starting her fifth attempt at the invitro fertilization process back in 2021, per ctvnews.ca.

“Normally, it is the most euphoric part of the process,” Joly said in French. “Because everything is possible. And you think it’s going to work. So, every time it doesn’t work, which has been the case in the previous four attempts, it’s a period of mourning It is so exhausting.”

Joly has spoken publicly over the past months about her desire to start a family. Only recently, however, did she open up about the highs and lows associated with fertility treatments, following the advice of her friend Julie Snyder, one of Quebec’s biggest TV hosts and producers, who also went through a similar experience.

And Joly doesn’t shy away from it, saying the fall will be hard if the fifth attempt doesn’t work.

“It’s like being at the top of a roller-coaster, at the top of the `Monstre’ in La Ronde, and all of a sudden, your wagon doesn’t have any brakes and you fall,” Joly said. “So, it becomes very difficult because the symptoms are demanding, emotions are on the edge.”
