Despite having a now-famous “entanglement” with actor August Alsina, Jada Pinkett Smith insists that she did not cheat on Will Smith.

The “Nutty Professor” star reiterated her recent claim that she and the “King Richard” actor were apart at the time of their tryst, something she had previously brought up on her since-cancelled “Red Table Talk” programme.

“I just need people to know, OK, I did not cheat on Will Smith. No matter how sad he looked at that table,” Jada shared on “TalkShopLive” Saturday

And you’ll kind of understand why the “Red Table” even occurred in the first place when you read [my future memoir].

Jada disclosed that she and Will had “determined we were going to split for a period of time” during that episode of the Facebook Watch programme.

But she claimed that she and the “Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” had already been estranged for years in an interview with NBC news that aired last week.

Jada claimed that despite their marital issues, she and Will are in a “really beautiful place,” and that Will even assisted her in writing “Worthy.”

“I’m in a place of peace. I’m in a place of happiness. And in all honesty, I love where I am. As far as Will, my relationship with him, you know, we went through that long period of separation… in order for us to journey separately and do some journeying together,” she shared.

“It just seems as though we’ve come to a really, really beautiful place together, so I’m happy. Yeah, that’s where I am. In this chapter of my life, I am finally happy.”

The 52-year-old “Girls Trip” actor and Will, 55-year-old co-star, said that they felt under pressure to maintain their marriage due to how the world saw it, but they realised after therapy that this was “not a realistic thing to do.”

“There’s so much love, you know, between us… Different things have transpired over the last two years, and Will and I have been doing a lot of healing together,” she shared.

“And, you know, we have made our way back to this interdependence, this beautiful loving space between us, and we’re family, and we’re figuring it out, and it’s a beautiful figuring it out. Been beautiful. Got a lot of love.”

Despite their ongoing marital counselling, the “I Am Legend” star said Jada’s revelations “woke him up.”

“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in,” he told the New York Times.

“And you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

Jada is more “resilient, clever and compassionate than [he] had imagined,” he also came to realise.
