On February 2, 2021, at age 100, the world learned about the death of the great British hero’ Captain Sir Tom Moore. He passed away in Bedford Hospital South Wing, Bedford, United Kingdom.

During the pandemic, Captain Tom Moore became an overnight national treasure, following his efforts to raise money for the NHS.

Captain Tom Moore was the father to two daughters Lucy and Hannah with his second wife Pamela.

Lucy Teixeira is famous as the oldest daughter of Captain Tom Moore, a Second World War veteran, who rose to prominence in the early part of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Born in  Keighley, United Kingdom, Lucy Teixeira is now based in Caversham, near Reading.

What does Lucy Teixeira do for a living? By profession, Lucy Teixeira has a background in medics and in the entertainment industry. She started to work in homeopathy after the death of her mother Pamela in 2006.

Per her profile on LinkedIn, it reads “I am passionate about helping busy people with their health problems, I am able to put them back into balance using Homeopathic remedies”.

According to her website, her business specialises in “energetically rebalancing the body”.

She became interested in her career when she was treated by a homeopath in 2003 after she had suffered the effects of glandular fever as a child.

Lucy Teixeira has been married to her spouse, Tom Teixeira for years.

Lucy and Tom Teixeira have two children, all are boys and among the four grandchildren of Sir Captain Tom Moore.

The names of their sons are Max Teixeira, 21, and Tom Teixeira Jr., 24.

Max, 21, has won two club championships and posts the rest of his golf adventures on his Instagram.

On a date with TOWIE star Chloe Brockett, 21, Max revealed that he was related to the pandemic fundraising and war hero Captain Tom.

Their oldest son Tom, 24, was the Junior MP Miami pro worlds champ in 2019, according to his Instagram page.

Max Teixeira said of Captain Tom’s incredible achievement: “We’re just shocked and proud of him beyond belief.”

He posts pics of his muscly body and also shared a tribute to his grandad saying: “Rest in peace grandad, you achieved so much and you brought a smile to everyone’s faces, I am so proud to be able to call you my grandad. RIP.”

After her father’s incredible achievement, Lucy said she “just can’t believe what has happened”.

She told BBC: “My heart is bursting. Well done, Daddy.

“I’m having to get used to the thought of sharing you with millions and millions of people.”

Following Captain Tom’s death on February 2, 2021, Hannah and Lucy paid an emotional tribute to the nation’s hero, speaking about the “laughter and tears” they shared together.

They said: “It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our dear father, Captain Sir Tom Moore.

“We are so grateful that we were with him during the last hours of his life; Hannah, Benjie and Georgia by his bedside and Lucy on FaceTime.

“We spent hours chatting to him, reminiscing about our childhood and our wonderful mother.

“We shared laughter and tears together.

“The last year of our father’s life was nothing short of remarkable. He was rejuvenated and experienced things he’d only ever dreamed of.

“Whilst he’d been in so many hearts for just a short time, he was an incredible father and grandfather, and he will stay alive in our hearts forever.

“The care our father received from the NHS and carers over the last few weeks and years of his life has been extraordinary.

“They have been unfalteringly professional, kind and compassionate and have given us many more years with him than we ever would have imagined.

“Over the past few days our father spoke a great deal about the last 12 months and how proud he felt at being able to leave behind the growing legacy of his Foundation.

“We politely ask for privacy at this time so we can grieve quietly as a family and remember the wonderful 100 years our father had.”
