Travis Kelce has purchased a $6 million property in Kansas City in a desperate attempt to increase his privacy surrounding his recent affair with Taylor Swift, Page Six can reveal.
The 12-time Grammy winner, 33, and the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, 34, have been meeting up frequently lately. Last week, they were seen holding hands in New York City.
According to TMZ, Kelce finalised the agreement on Tuesday, becoming the new owner of a luxurious home with a mini golf course, waterfall, and swimming pool.
The lavish house is located in a gated neighbourhood, providing Kelce and any future visitors with unrivalled solitude.
According to the site, Kelce started looking for a private estate after realising how reachable his old residence was.
In 2019, Kelce paid $995,000 for a seven-bedroom, custom-built mansion in Kansas City’s affluent Briarcliff West area. The same year, he also paid $355,000 for a condo in Orlando.
Page Six has contacted Kelce’s representatives for comment.
Kelce, who makes $14 million a year, committed to a lucrative four-deal with the organisation that would pay him $57 million in 2020.
The hefty sum does not include paid partnerships, which earn him millions alone.
Although the Super Bowl winner acknowledged last month that he knows he brought this to [himself], the attention on his relationship with Swift did not come as a surprise to him.
“My personal life that is not so personal,” he quipped during an episode of his “New Heights” podcast with brother Jason.
The news of Kelce’s latest acquisition comes just days after he was seen walking around NYC holding hands with the “Cruel Summer” hitmaker.
On both Saturday and Sunday night, the couple went out in Manhattan, marking their first in-public PDA moment.
As Swift, who started going to Kelce’s games last month, was seen wearing smudged red lipstick, with the same shade appearing to be on Kelce’s own mouth, fans even conjectured at a secret makeout session.
At a “Saturday Night Live” afterparty, the couple was “kissing throughout the night,” a source informed Page Six.
The Kansas City Chiefs are preparing for their Sunday matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium.
Although it’s unclear at this point whether Swift will perform, it could be challenging given that her sold-out “Eras” tour resumes on November 9 in Argentina.
