A full cause of death was given as trauma in the lungs, a fall, and dementia, an illness he battled with in his elderly age. Senior coroner for Cheshire Jacqueline Devonish ruled Sir Bobby’s death was accidental.
His family released a statement announcing the death of the English Legend. According to the statement, Sir Bobby Charlton died in the early hours of Saturday, 21st October 2023.
The statement further revealed that his family was by his side until his last breath. The family requested that they respect their privacy in such a difficult time.
