American actor Richard Moll was born on January 13, 1943, in Pasadena, California, United States.

His parents are Harry Findley Moll (father) and Violet Anita Grill (mother).

His mom, Violet, was a nurse and his dad, Harry, was a lawyer. 

Often called Charles Moll, he was also known for his height, which could make people mistake him for a basketball player. He was tall early in his life, reaching 6 feet (1.83 m) by age 12. He kept growing until about 6 ft 8 in (2.03 m).

He attended the University of California, Berkeley, and was a member of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity.

Moll was a character actor known for his eccentric but gentle portrayal of bailiff Aristotle Nostradamus “Bull” Shannon on the NBC sitcom “Night Court.”

He appeared on “Night Court” from 1984 to 1992 alongside Harry Anderson and John Larroquette. Moll was known for his catchphrase, “Ohh-kay.”

The 6-foot 8-inch tall actor did not partake in the show’s 2023 reboot.

After the show, Moll provided his voice to various video games and comic book projects including “Spider-Man: The Animated Series” and “Batman: The Animated Series.”
