Cam Newton (real name: Cameron Jerrell Newton) is an American football quarterback. The 34-year-old NFL star is now an unrestricted free agent once again.

Nicknamed “Super Cam”, he is the National Football League leader in career quarterback rushing touchdowns and second in career quarterback rushing yards.

Newton played the 2020 season for the Patriots after spending his first nine seasons with the Carolina Panthers.

After being released from the Patriots in 2021, he returned again to the Panthers, where his homecoming wasn’t nearly as exciting as his first stint when he led the Panthers to a Super Bowl and was named MVP.

Away from his athletic career, he is a father and keeps increasing his own family. Currently, his third baby mama is expecting his eighth child. Here’s everything we know about his children and their mothers.

Cam shares his children with two women; five of the seven from his relationship with Kia Proctor and two of the remaining two babies with La Reina Shaw.

The Carolina Panthers alum and Kia welcomed their first child, a son named Chosen Sebastian, on December 14, 2015.

The pair went on to welcome three more children together.

Their brood includes daughter Sovereign-Dior and two younger sons, Camidas and Cashmeres.

Newton is also a father to Kia’s daughter Shakira from a previous relationship.

On July 4, 2019, Instagram model La Reina gave birth to Newton’s fourth son Caesar Lorenzo.

Newton also considers La Reina’s son Jaden from a previous relationship his own.

On October 27, 2023, Brown revealed that she was pregnant with Newton’s eighth child in an Instagram post.

“Third times a charm tour,” Brown said, promoting her latest tour alongside images alluding to a newborn. Coming to a comedy stage near you,” she wrote.

Regarding his life as a father, the New England Patriots alum shared on Instagram: “A Daddy isn’t defined as the man who makes the child (NOT in all instances) but rather, a MAN who extends his hands and time to help with the child’s raising.

“Anybody can make a baby, but it takes a real man to raise a child.

“Blood doesn’t always make you DADDY being a dad comes from the heart.”

Who are Cam Newton’s parents and siblings?

Newton, 34, was born on May 11, 1989, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

He comes from a family with a football background.

He is the son of Jackie and Cecil Newton Sr., who was a safety for the 1983 Dallas Cowboys and 1984 Buffalo Bills

He is not an only child to his mother and father, he has two brothers. His older brother is Cecil Newton, a center who played in the NFL. His youngest brother, Caylin, was the quarterback for the Howard Bison in the mid-2010s.

Newton was a talented baseball and basketball player as a youth, but developed a fear of being hit by a pitch in baseball and could not avoid foul trouble on the basketball court. He stopped playing baseball at 14 years old and quit basketball shortly into his high school career.

In 2015, Newton graduated from Auburn University with a degree in sociology.

When did Cam Newton and Kia Proctor split?

In January 2020, Newton and Proctor split after it was revealed the quarterback had fathered a secret child with Shaw.

The NFL player previously explained to The Pivot podcast: “My longtime girlfriend at the time, you know, we had a family, and I made a mistake. I hurt her, and I jeopardized our family at that time, and I had a child outside of our relationship. It’s just about really putting certain things into perspective, and, you know, it was embarrassing for me.

He added: “Honestly, it is embarrassing to talk about, but everybody don’t really wanna talk about real situations in life. I just stopped caring what people thought about it because I come home, and I have a due diligence to be the best father that I can possibly be. Sometimes you fall short; what are you supposed to do? Cry? I would never have a hidden child out there. I would never not speak on the facts because there are a lot of people that can live vicariously through me and be better from it.
