Channing Tatum and Zoë Kravitz took their working relationship to the next level when they started dating.
Us Weekly confirmed in August 2021 that the pair had started dating, shortly after Kravitz’s divorce from Karl Glusman was finalized, after meeting on the set of her directorial debut, Pussy Island.
“[He was the one] I thought of when I wrote this character,” she told Deadline in June 2021. “I just knew from Magic Mike and his live shows, I got the sense he’s a true feminist and I wanted to collaborate with someone who was clearly interested in exploring this subject matter.”
A source told Us that August that “things turned romantic fast” after “working together so closely.”
Tatum was previously married to his Step Up costar Jenna Dewan, with whom he shares daughter Everly. They finalized their divorce in 2019.

Shortly after news broke of Kravitz’s divorce, several outlets, including E! News, denied social media speculation that she was romantically linked to Tatum, noting that the pair were planning to work together soon.

News broke that Kravitz was set to direct Tatum in Pussy Island. During a joint interview with Deadline, the pair joked about the actress calling him out for his fashion choices.
“When someone can just come out and tell me I should not be wearing Crocs, and is so adamant about it, she completely convinced me and I never wear Crocs anymore,” he said to which Kravitz replied, “I was just trying to be a good friend, Chan!”
The Magic Mike actor added, “I get it, but I totally loved Crocs for a hot second, and in one hang she was like, ‘You can’t ever do that again.’ And I said, ‘OK, fine.’”

The Big Little Lies alum tagged Tatum in her dad Lenny Kravitz’s Instagram in July 2021.
“You auditioning for MM3?” she joked, referring to Tatum’s stripper movie franchise.
“Oh s—t!! Doing the lords work i see!!” Tatum replied. “Will be calling you shortly to get into your schedule my friend. Hehehe.”
In addition to telling his daughter he’s “been ready,” the rocker responded to Tatum, writing, “@channingtatum Peace my man.”

During their first public outing in August 2021, Kravitz held on tight to Tatum while they wrote on his black BMX bike through New York City. Days later, they were seen laughing while drinking iced coffees and picking up groceries together.
