Ghana’s COVID-19 Tracker App Hits 16,000 Downloads Since Its Launch

Ghana’s COVID-19 Tracker App has has been downloaded 16,000 times since its launch yesterday.

The Ghana government has launched the GH COVID-19 Tracker App to help to counter the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19 in the country. The App was launched yesterday, 13th April 2020.

The app developed by the Ministry also answers users’ questions on the coronavirus, helps them check for coronavirus symptoms and also help report suspected cases.

According to the Communications Minister, Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful at the Ministry Of Information’s Press Briefing on Tuesday, the app has been downloaded 16,000 times since its launch yesterday.

“As at this morning, there’ve been 16,000 downloads already even though it’s just through the web link on android,”

she said.

She further explained that 100 respondents gave COVID-19 signs and their data were being transferred to the Ghana Health Service for follow-ups.

However, Ghana Health Service (GHS) has confirmed the news of a rise of Coronavirus cases to 636 as of today, Tuesday, April 14, 2020, with 8 death tolls.
