President Akufo-Addo after being declared the winner of the presidential poll which was held on Monday, December 7, 2020 has appointed his 15-member Transition Team.
According to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, Akufo-Addo won over 51 per cent of votes while his main contender John Mahama polled over 47 per cent.

The 15-member is chaired by the president’s Chief of Staff Akosua Frema Osei-Opare with Senior Minister Yaw Osafo-Maafo, Attorney General Gloria Akuffo, Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, and Interior Minister Ambrose Derry as members.
Others include Defence Minister Dominic Nitiwul, Foreign Affairs Minister Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, Local Government Minister Hajia Alima Mahama, National Security Minister Albert Kan-Dapaah, and Head of the Civil Service Nana Dwamena.

The rest are Head of the Local Government Service are Dr Nana Ato Arthur, Chair of the Public Services Dr Janet Ampadu, Secretay to Cabinet Mrs Mercy Debrah, National Security Coordinator Joshua Kyeremeh, and Acting Chief Director at the Office of the President, Henry Wood.
