Giovanni Caleb, the new host of Media General’s flagship dating show, Date Rush, has finally explained why Nii Kpakpo Thompson was ousted and replaced on the show.
The new edition of TV3 Date Rush did not come with its regular, extremely hilarious host, Nii Kpakpo. Social media users were shocked when it was announced that Giovanni will be the new host.
Explaining the decision of the television station to change the host, Giovanni said he was called by management of the station and informed that he will be the new host of the show.
As an employee, he said, “I Just said okay boss and assumed my new position” Giovanni told Delay in an interview.
Giovanni added that he was told the old host (Nii Kpakpo) had relocated out of the country hence their decision to put him in his shoes.

“My bosses explained to me that he {Nii Kpakpo} was out of town and not in Ghana. As in he has relocated so this is the project for you and I said OKAY so when are we starting? Unfortunately I don’t ask questions so I started with VIM.” Giovanni said.
