Covid-19 Vaccines To Arrive In Ghana Today

Minister of Information designate, Hon Oppong Nkrumah in a briefing has confirmed the first batch of Covid-19 vaccines arriving in the country.

The Minister made the statement during the Conference and Donor Presentation for the Sustainable Development of Yendi Municipal Hospital on 21 February 2021.

In a statement, he said, “though I have another engagement on our COVID-19 vaccines that are arriving early [Monday] morning.”

In a recall, the government promised of vaccinating atleast 20 million people against the deadly Covid-19 virus in the country.

The Food and Drugs Authority has approved the AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines for use in Ghana. The government has also considered Modena, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines

Government officials are expected to publicly be vaccinated to help educate Ghanaians on the important of the vaccine.
