Three (3) Regions Set To Recieve The First Batch Of Covid-19 Vaccine Upon Arrival

Ghana expects to receive its first batch of Covid-19 vaccines in the country on 22 February 2021 according to the Minister of Information designate.

In a brief meeting at Conference and Donor Presentation for the Sustainable Development of Yendi Municipal Hospital on Sunday 21 February 2021, he stated that “though I have another engagement on our COVID-19 vaccines that are arriving early [Monday] morning.”

According to Ghana Health Service, the rollout will be in Greater Accra, Ashanti, and Western Region because of their prevalence of covid.

The Food and Drugs Authority has approved the AstraZeneca and Sputnik V vaccines for use in Ghana. The government has also considered Modena, Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines-19 cases.
