Who was Robert Card and what did he do?

Robert Card (born between 1982 and 1983) was revealed as the prime suspect in the Lewiston mass shooting at a bowling alley and a restaurant in Lewiston, Maine.

At the moment, there is no information about his family; including his parents, siblings, and origin, as well as if he is a married man with children or not.

Robert Card was believed to be in the Army Reserve and assigned to a training facility in Saco, Maine.

Also, per a document circulated to law enforcement officials, Robert Card was described as a firearms instructor.

The document also states that Card had been committed to a mental health facility for two weeks in the summer of 2023.

The Androscoggin County Sheriffs Office released two photos of the suspect on its Facebook page that showed the shooter walking into an establishment with a weapon raised to his shoulder.

Two law enforcement officials said the fatality toll was expected to rise, with dozens also wounded.

He recently made threats to carry out a shooting at a military training base in Saco, Maine, and previously reported hearing voices, said officials.

Maine Department of Public Safety Commissioner Mike Sauschuck told the press after the shooting: “We’re not prepared to go into [Card’s] background.”

Bowling alley Sparetime Recreation was filled with families playing games when the shooting began at about 7.15 p.m. – the night of a scheduled youth event.

Adults and children were seen fleeing the business, being patted down by cops, and being loaded into an ambulance.

There was another shooting at Schemengees Bar & Grille Restaurant, who posted early Thursday morning, October 26, 2023: “My heart is crushed. I am at a loss for words. In a split second, your world gets turn upside down for no good reason.

“We loss great people in this community. How can we make any sense of this. Sending out prayers to everyone.”

Where is Robert Card now?

Robert Card, the suspect believed to be responsible for one of Maine’s deadliest mass shootings, has been found dead two days after allegedly killing 18 people at a bowling alley and bar on Wednesday, according to law enforcement sources – NYPost also confirms.

The suspect fled into the night following the attack and as of 9 pm local time on Wednesday evening, the shooter remains at large.

In photos that were made public by the sheriff’s office, Card could be seen wearing brown clothes and brandishing a high-powered assault-style rifle.

John Miller, chief law enforcement and intelligence analyst for CNN, described the weapon as an AR15-style rifle with a possible telescopic sight.

He noted that the gunman was wearing blue tactical pants with “bulging” pockets, suggesting the possibility that he was carrying extra ammunition.
