Ralo (real name: Terrell Davis – also known as Ralo Stylz) is famous as an American rapper who boasts of several commercial songs.

He was born on February 12, 1995, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States.

He owns a record label called Famerica Records.

He was also signed to Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records via Interscope Records.

Ralo gained recognition following the release of his single, “Can’t Lie” featuring rapper Future, which was released in 2015. 

The Atlanta native released his debut mixtape Famerican Gangster in April 2015.

Following his first release, he followed up Famerican Gangster with several additional mixtapes.

His best-selling singles are My Brothers, On My Kids, Can’t Lie, and Get That Money.

He had a thriving career but along the line, he was arrested and jailed.

Why was Ralo in prison?

In March 2022, Ralo pleaded guilty to six counts of conspiracy to possess with the intent to distribute at least a kilo of marijuana, felony possession of a firearm, and money laundering.

After he pleaded guilty, he was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Ralo’s conviction stemmed from his arrest at Atlanta’s Dekalb-Peachtree Airport on April 15, 2018.

Police raided the rapper’s private aircraft and discovered $1 million worth of marijuana aboard the plane.

At the time, he pleaded not guilty to four counts of marijuana possession with the intent to distribute.

“Ralo will continue to work to be the best artist and entertainer and community leader that he is,” his team said in a statement.

“We hope that he will soon be released to complete his current show schedule and get back to work with compliance to any restrictions implied.”

While telling his side of the story to 11 Alive, he shared: “I feel like they kind of wrongfully targeted me.

“No drugs were ever sold out of my apartment complex.

“All the cars were stuff that I bought. None of it was for me. That was for my family.”

When was Ralo released from prison?

After six years of limited freedom and serving jail terms, rapper Ralo is finally a free man.

On November 8, 2023, Atlanta native Ralo was granted early release from his incarceration and allowed to go free.

He was credited with four years of time served and received another year and a half off his sentence for good behavior.

Before his release, fellow rappers like Drake pleaded and demanded for him to be freed.
