Jeanette Kagame is the wife of Rwandan President, Paul Kagame. She became the first lady of Rwanda after her husband was made President in 2000.
The wife of Paul Kagame was born on 10th August 1962. She is also the founder and chairman of Imbuto Foundation, a non-profit organization whose mission is to support the development of a healthy, educated and prosperous society.
Mrs. Jeanette Kagame holds a degree in Business and Management Services. Upon returning to Rwanda following the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi, she dedicated her life to uplifting the lives of vulnerable populations in Rwanda, particularly those of widows, orphans and impoverished families.
